What an incredibly massive part you have played in my life. I will not say you were my stepdad as I know you hated the word ‘step’ and only ever referred to all of us as your daughters. You’ve been there for me so many times over the last 36 years. I was a mere 16 when you came into my life and you played the role of dad for all this time. You were always there for a cuddle during times of heartbreak but always quick to tell me ‘as one door closes, another door opens’. You were right! I’m so grateful for your generosity, support and love and so thankful that you were well enough in April to see Nigel and I get married. We’ll miss you so much including the bad dad jokes but you are now at peace and no longer suffering. We love you and will always miss you Dad/Grandad. Kelly, Nigel and Eloise xxx
